Industrial Revolution

Much of the technology we use today, boomed in the 18th Century, the time of the Industrial Revolution.

The industrial revolution marked a new wave of technology and innovation to the world. The development of the steam engine played a big part in both indutrail factory work, as well as transportation over sea, like the steamboat, and over land, like the train. The Industrial Revolution helped man not only to mass produce to ship its products all over the world, but it also provided the means of this transport, the Train, to conquer distance.

Globalisation includes the eliminating of space and boundaries in the world. the train made access to member countries of europe a lot easier and a lot faster, and that made shipping faster too.

In the past, trade was done thorough merchant ships on water, and through cart and wagons on land. Trade was expensive and slow, as ships required high number and highly skilled manpower to maneuver the vessel through the trecherous seas. with the steamship brought in, it became easier and faster to transport goods.

The effect of man today, is that we are using products from all over the world that are still transported by the means of Sea. Much of our food and items come in everyday by ports which are then distributed to the country. Sea trade is still booming, and items are being mass produced and shipped all over the world.

The industrial revolution has given us the inventions to bring our items all over the world. by conquering distance, we no longer limit ourselves to the resources and inventions of our own country.
